Pad the top of your car with a piece of carpet. Buy non-stretch nylon or polyester rope 1/4 inch in diameter. Secure the bow and stern of each kayak to the bumpers of your car. Use knots that can be released. No rack? Throw a line over the two kayaks, pass it through the window openings and secure it. Do not use rubber bungees. Drive off, after a mile or so, stop and check your load. Re-tighten everything if necessary. Get carpet ends at carpet shop...Alternate pads: air mattress, sponge rubber, ethafoam...Boat shops should have hardware kits available.|||You can buy a roof rack...find one on ebay.
Or makeshift a rack with something.
