Does anyone know anygood cheap kayaks or conoes 2 people?

me and my brother fish all the time and we always talked about getting small boats. is there any good 1-2 people kayaks or kanoes we want something that we will have leg room being that 5 hours may be spent in these. is there any good cheap canoes boats or kayaks that will stay afloat in a lake and will hold about 250 lbs of people maybe less or moreDoes anyone know anygood cheap kayaks or conoes 2 people?
I would ditch the kayak and go for a canoe traditional north American kind. the can hold a lot of kit enough for a week camping. there is plenty room for legs if you do not put too much kit in. Collman do some reasonable prices but look around the clubs and online.Does anyone know anygood cheap kayaks or conoes 2 people?
You definitely want a canoe and not a kayak for what you want to do. Check your local want ads or Craigslist for an Old Town Guide 147 or 160 canoe. These are great basic two-person canoes for fishing or just flatwater or stream paddling. They are tough and stable. You can often find new ones on sale at the end of the season at sporting goods stores for around $500 and I have seen used ones in decent condition for under $300. Most anything under $300 (used) or under $500 (new) is going to be unsafe junk. Remember you also have to buy paddles and life vests (ALWAYS wear your life vest, even if local law doesn't require it.) Also take at class in paddling and especially in water safety and learn how to safely select your route and handle your boat. Most states require you to register your canoe or kayak and pay a small annual fee. You will get a fine if you fail to do this. You need to be aware of the dangers of cold water when you canoe or kayak also. Even on a warm sunny day the water can be deadly cold and you can lose the ability to swim and rescue yourself within minutes if you fall in and are not dressed correctly

Canoeing and kayaking are a lot of fun as long as you have decent equipment and are well-prepared for anything that can happen. I have a canoe and 6 kayaks and go out all the time -- it upsets me when people die from drowning every week from going out unprepared.Does anyone know anygood cheap kayaks or conoes 2 people?
Yes, but - 'good cheap' is an oxymoron. Boats are cheap because they have defects of some sort. Canoes come in sizes starting at nine foot long and going up to 20 feet long. Visit boat clubs and marine dealers, ask about used canoes. Fiberglass/resin canoes are easy to repair. Aluminium canoes need a good welder. Try to find a used 16 foot aluminum canoe. Don't neglect the extra gear you must have: PFDs, paddles and flotation devices. Spend a Saturday and visit yard sales.
