They have a free classifieds section for kayaks, including a section for people who are looking to buy one. I've bought and sold most of my own kayaks via my local Craigslist which works well. It's best to sell locally and for cash pick-up only. If you can wait until Spring, though, you will get more money for it.

As for shipping, you can actually ship a plastic kayak via companies like UPS for not as much as you might think (usually around $100). But you should leave that up to the buyer.

Watch out for scammers though -- every time I place an ad selling a kayak I get hits from rip-off artists (mostly from Nigeria or Eastern Europe) who claim they want to buy the boat with a bank check (which always turns out to be fake) and have some "shipping agent" come to my house to collect cash for the "delivery." You can usually spot them because their English is bad in the email and you can tell they have no idea even what a kayak is. They will offet you thousands more than you are asking for the boat and then say you can cash the (fake) check and give them the change. Believe it or not, people fall for this all the time.
I also bought my kayaks off of craigslist. Have seen so many go before I got a chance to respond too so it's a good market (at least in Florida). I was talking to another seller and he said they keep their values. He was suppose to sell it at a yard sale but someone hounded him so much that he sold it to him before the sale. (craigslist listing and his was for a garage sale, just had word kayak in it)Kayaks for sell any one know where and how to sell it?
Where do you live? Inquire at the local boating club. Run a classified ad in your daily paper. Tell the name of the kayak, its age and the extra gear that may be included. Shipping kayaks is always a problem and it is expensive. Talk with the local boat dealer.
In a paper there is a free kayak classifieds are you can go for a local club boat dealer to buy.

it is very expansive ...Kayaks for sell any one know where and how to sell it?
I might be looking for a kayak. Would you tell me about it (one or two person, brand, type, age, condition, price, location, etc.). jheapy@sbcglobal.net
