Is there a weight limit on Kayaks?

I'm looking at kayaks for sale and in the details for them, there isnt a weight limit, but i heard that they were limits for them. I'm looking for a sit-in, and probibly going to paddling on still/ lower than class 2 water.

You will get the opportunity to try different models of different capacities. Dealers also hold 'paddle days'. Overloaded kayaks are sluggish and unstable. An outsized kayak will be hard to paddle.|||Manufacturers specify recommended weight ranges for each model kayak. Usually it's a pretty wide range. For larger recreational and sea kayaks the upper limit can be 250-300 lbs. or even more.
