What is the impact of UV on Ram-X PE hulls for canoes & Kayaks?

We are thinking of buying a Kayak that we would store outside on our dock at a lake in middle Georgia, and wonder if Ram-X hull material will stand up to the sun's UV rays without deteriorating.|||No, UV is not good for polyethylene (Ram-X, PE). Exposure can cause warping and fading, and eventually the plastic will become more brittle and susceptible to impact. Try to find a place indoors to store it. If you must store outdoors, cover the boat with a tarp and store it upside-down so it doesn't collect rainwater.
