Can a compact car handle two solo kayaks on a roofrack?

I'm new to kayaking, and I was wondering about cartopping solo kayaks with compact cars. I'm about to buy a new car and I'm wondering if compact cars can handle two solo kayaks on a roofrack? In other words, how compact is too compact for transporting 2 kayaks on the roof? I don't want to get a trailer.|||My previous car was a Ford Focus ZX5, I had it completely outfitted with a Thule rack system. On several occasions I had as many as three 12-13.5' kayaks on top of it. It was definitely slower on the highway, but the boats were secure, no issues.|||if you have a roof rack that holds 2 kayaks, then yes. They're only around 30 pounds anyway...
